Charlie Shulz

I’m Charlie Shulz, a Montréal-based artist, producer, and playlist curator. I spent close to a decade producing for other artists before stepping out from behind the boards and starting to release my own music as a singer and songwriter. That background still shapes everything I do. I approach songs like a producer first, blending emotional writing with electronic textures, distorted sounds, and club-leaning rhythms that sit somewhere between alt-pop, hyperpop, and experimental hip-hop. Alongside my own releases, I curate playlists focused on internet-driven scenes like hyperpop, digicore, alt-pop, and genre-blurring electronic rap. I’m mainly interested in artists who are experimenting and building their own worlds online, not just following existing lanes. For me, curation is just another way of participating in the culture. The goal is simple: highlight independent artists who are shaping where things are going next.
