How it works for curators
- 1
Add your playlist
Sign up free and paste your Spotify playlist link. We verify it automatically. You need at least one playlist with 50+ real followers.
- 2
Get songs that fit
Set your genres and receive submissions from independent artists who chose your playlist on purpose.
- 3
Listen and respond
Accept the songs you love, decline the rest, and leave honest feedback. Respond within 72 hours so artists are never left waiting.
- 4
Get paid monthly
Your reviews, feedback quality and placements earn points. Your share of the pool settles on the 1st of each month.
How curator earnings work
Curators share a monthly pool instead of being paid per click, so thoughtful reviews are rewarded and nobody is pushed to accept songs they do not love.
The pool
Each month, 35% of artist subscription revenue goes into the curator earnings pool.
Your share
Every on-time review earns points. Detailed feedback and placements that stay on your playlist earn more. Your share of the pool follows your points.
Monthly settlement
Earnings settle on the 1st of each month (UTC). Amounts under $5 roll forward until they cross that line, then move to your available balance.
Getting paid
Withdraw to PayPal or Stripe Connect once your available balance reaches $20. If you are also an artist, you can turn any amount into submission credits instead.
Fair to artists, too
If a curator does not respond within 72 hours, the artist's credit is refunded and that review is not paid. It keeps the whole network responsive.
Curator questions
Is it free to join as a curator?+
Yes. Curator access is always free, with no credit card and no subscription required. We may run occasional recognition programs, but joining as a curator remains free.
What's the 50 follower requirement?+
To ensure quality placements, curators must have at least one playlist with 50+ real Spotify followers. We verify this automatically when you paste your playlist link.
Do curators have to accept submissions?+
No. Curators can decline submissions, but must respond within 72 hours. Detailed feedback earns higher quality-tier points, while very short feedback earns reduced points.
How do curator payments work?+
Each month, 35% of artist subscription revenue goes into a curator earnings pool. Review activity and retention points determine your share. Settlements run on the 1st of each month (UTC). Monthly distributions below $5.00 stay in your pending balance and roll forward into future months until they cross that threshold, at which point they release to your available balance.
What's the minimum withdrawal amount for curators?+
There are two thresholds. (1) Pending earnings release to your available balance once your accumulated share crosses $5.00 at the next monthly settlement. (2) From your available balance, you can request a withdrawal once you reach the $20.00 minimum. Withdrawals go to your connected Stripe Connect account or PayPal email; the $20 floor exists to keep transfer fees from eating small payouts. If you also have an artist profile, you can redeem any amount of your available balance for submission credits from your Earnings page, with no minimum.
How can curators increase earnings over time?+
Consistent review activity, thoughtful feedback quality, and retaining strong track placements all help increase points over time. Curators who stay active and maintain high-quality playlists generally earn a larger share of the pool.
Can I be both an artist and curator?+
Yes. One account can support both roles, and you can switch between profiles when both are enabled for your account. To keep things fair, you cannot submit to your own playlists.
