GOBLYNS Let the Jam Run on “Darlings”
A jam-born groove from three friends who never stopped playing together, and a first look at the album where the band starts to sing.

GOBLYNS are brothers Liam and Francis Broek and their longtime friend Giovanni Raymer-Votano, three South Africans who split their time between Berlin and Amsterdam. “Darlings,” out September 2 on Crazysane Records, runs 5:14 and opens the door to their third album, Who Do You Fight?, due November 13.
“We start with a new jam every time we get together instinctually that often later becomes a song.”

The Single
“Darlings” takes its time, and that is the point. GOBLYNS are a groove band at heart, closer to krautrock and psych-funk than to verse and chorus, and five minutes gives the song room to settle in and stretch. It previews Who Do You Fight?, a nine-track album produced and recorded by Mark Eric Lewis at Junxt Berlin, mixed by André Leo, and mastered by Vincent Espi at Songololo Studios.
The lineup is tight: Giovanni Raymer-Votano on guitar, Liam Broek on bass and organ, Francis Broek on drums and vocals, with Brodie White sitting in on keys. The label says Francis sings on half of the new album, which is a real shift for a band that built its name on instrumentals. It feels like a natural next step rather than a reinvention.
The Story
GOBLYNS put out their debut EP, This Is Spaghettification, on their own in 2023, and it quietly passed 220,000 Spotify streams. Crazysane Records released their first album, Hunki Bobo, in May 2024, then Three Sisters in June 2025. That second title comes from a story Francis tells beautifully: fabled witches from an Eastern Cape village who turned into towering stone formations past the dunes, a sacrifice to protect against the wild sea.
They have never lost touch with home. When Gio got married in South Africa in early 2024, the band played a homecoming show there too. Next up is a Paris date at Pop Up on October 14.
