Tips for pitching afrobeats & latin curators
Target the scene, not the continent
Afrobeats, amapiano and highlife are different scenes with different listeners. The same goes for reggaeton, bachata and cumbia. Pick precisely.
Say what language you sing in
Some playlists are built around one language and some mix freely. Mentioning yours helps curators judge the fit quickly.
Use the release window
Pitch within the first weeks of release, while the song can still gain momentum from playlist adds and algorithmic recommendations.
